Karen Lurie is a writer-producer based in New York. As senior writer at Comedycentral.com, she wrote regular features for the Webby-nominated Indecision 2008 website/blog, copy for Colbertnation.com and Jokes.com, and scripts for comedians such as Greg Giraldo and Gilbert Gottfried. She has also contributed to the Onion News Network and Modern Humorist. As a TV producer she wrote, produced and edited over 30 science news TV segments in conjunction with PBS's award-winning documentary series NOVA and Discover Magazine. She formed the production company Three Hot Tubs (3HT) with Nick Poppy. Their comedy short series American Cookbook was featured on Comedycentral.com and the French television network Canal+, as well as Channel 101NY. Their videos have been featured on Funny or Die and College Humor and screened all over New York City.
